Runwise Named Top 2025 Contractor by Con Edison

We’re excited to share that Runwise has been recognized by Con Edison as a Top Multifamily Contractor of the Year — specifically for Energy Management Systems.

This award means a lot to us, as it highlights what we strive to do every day: help building owners, operators, and tenants get more out of their building through smarter systems.

Managing buildings isn’t just about switching the heat on; it’s about managing energy and comfort in a way that works for everyone.  The Runwise platform does this in several ways: It predicts weather conditions to make live adjustments to heating systems, cutting energy use without sacrificing tenant comfort. It also offers clear-cut visibility into how buildings are running — whether you’re overseeing a single building or 100 of them. It allows property managers and building operators to be proactive without having to be physically present in their boiler rooms.

So ConEd’s recognition is extra significant because it validates the results we’re achieving every day, which include using less fuel,  preventing costly breakdowns, and staying ahead of compliance.

Since being recognized in 2024, we’ve grown our footprint and deepened our technical capabilities. 

Today, Runwise runs in more than 10,000 buildings across the U.S., helping clients cut energy use by an average of 20-25% every year, preventing system failures, and empowering building managers to make smarter decisions based on real data. 

Here are just a few examples of what that looks like in action:

• Manhattan Co-op: Upgraded from outdated boiler controls to Runwise smart monitoring. Result: 20%+ energy savings, fewer heat complaints, and full payback in about a year.
  
  
• Mid-Rise Portfolio: Adopted Runwise to streamline HVAC and water system management. Reduced emergency calls, improved efficiency tracking, and saved tens of thousands annually.
